We had the good fortune of connecting with MIsty Fulgencio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MIsty, what matters most to you?
The value or principle that matters most to me is integrity. when I work with clients and business partners, and talk with friends and coworkers it is extremely important that I am truthful and set the right expectations for everyone. Communication is a large component in anything but it is definitely more so in the permanent makeup industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am the most excited and proud of my Non-Profit organization called DFW Women’s Club. It is where we empower, educate and connect women in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. What started out as a Facebook group has manifested into an 11,000 plus member Facebook group and a non=profit where we are building women, helping them grow personally and professionally, and facilitating the creation of long term friendships.

It is with these friendships I have developed my board of directors and been able to put on several women’s conference, educational webinars, and events. My team is impactful and I know without a doubt we have the right people in place. Big thanks to Jo Davis, Ylonda Vicario, Ashlie Wagganer, Annette Walters, Irene Vivanco, Sharon Capps and Shelly Lemman.

It has not been easy but it has been one heck of a ride. This is not my full time job but it is my passion and am so thankful I have these amazing women that are also just as passionate and believe in this mission.

I want the world to know we will be starting our podcast in December 2023 called “Be Bold. Be Badass. Be You Podcast for women to further our reach and mission. Our goal is to empower women to become the best versions of themselves.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My journey has been fun, exciting, and at times, a little troublesome. But regardless, I am extremely grateful for those that have come and gone in my life. I would like to take the time to shout out self-love and personal development. There are countless books, youtube videos, podcasts and self-help programs that I have been involved in that has helped me grow as a person. A few books that come to mind are Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Soar by TD Jakes, Boundaries by Dr. John Townsend and Dr. Henry Cloud and Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker. My friends Sherry Gideons, Ashlie Wagganer, Annette Walters, and Jo Davis.
