We had the good fortune of connecting with Miss Newrain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miss Newrain, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I used to work for another salon back in 2011. There was no customer service, and system at all. Employees were charging variable price to the same client. The clients were not very happy with the service providers, and the quality they receive. I tried to change the system, but I was never appreciated. This really motivated to open my own little suite. I wanted to fill up the gap, and provide people of Arlington the service they deserve. At that time, I never thought that our salon would be one of the best eyebrow threading spot in whole DFW Metroplex.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started the technique of eyebrow threading from Nepal, back in 2006. I also owned, and operated a salon back there for couple of years before moving to the United States. I used to work for another salon for few years. While working over there, eyebrow threading was not as popular, and there were not many technicians. Also most of the technicians would not clean the eyebrows properly. I was the only one who took time to clean up the eyebrow, and make sure customers get most out of what they were paying for. This is what sets me apart from other employees, and finally I decided to open my own salon to serve more clients. In the short period of time, one small suite of salon is grown into two full phased salon, which is an achievement to be proud of. The commitment for customer service, and the love of beauty industry brought me here so far. Yes, it was not easy in the beginning, and every now and then, I have to face various challenges, but that’s where you learn, and grow right ? I always believe that there is a light at the end of tunnel, so I always try to think positive, and work hard for my success. Similarly Newrain Eyebrow Threading, and it’s entire team always focus on bringing smile in our customer’s face through our Threading, Facial, Waxing, Henna Tattoos, and Tinting services.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s lot of places to have fun in and around Arlington or DFW metro. Of course I would take my friend to Six Flags Over Texas, AT&T Stadium, Hurricane Harbor, and Epic Waters Indoor Water park, all of them are 15 minutes ride from my home, and both salons. I would also take her to Joe Pool Lake, and River Legacy park to enjoy some nature. As a girl from Himalayan country of Nepal, how could I forget Nepalese traditional foods. I will take my friend to few Nepalese restaurants in and around Irving, Texas, for their delicious dumplings ( Momos ) , and authentic Nepalese delicassees. Beside that Lake viridian, various parks, and trails around Viridian is also a wonderful place to be, and it’s walking distance from my home, so I can take her there everyday even after my work.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give my first shoutout to my Husband who encourages me in every step. He is very customer oriented, and motivates us to give the best customer service in our business. With constant innovation, new strategies, and experimentation with two of our salons, he is now able to run popular digital marketing agency of his own. I would also love to give shoutout to my present and past employees,. Without their hard work, loyalty, and support we would not be the top eyebrow threading, and waxing salon in Dallas Fort Worth Metro.
