We had the good fortune of connecting with milo tarighi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi milo, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It started with an idea to create a Physical Therapy App that would allow me, as a physical therapist, to reach and help more patients than I ever could as a traditional clinician. From the patient perspective, I met a patient that had a similar idea to improve the quality of their own experience with physical therapy. We began discussing this idea over a coffee, then began meeting regularly for over a year to brainstorm, develop, and plan the launch of this idea – ReBalance. Then Covid struck. Like the rest of the world, our meetings turned into remote meetings riddled with uncertainty. The app idea morphed into an idea to create a brick and mortar clinic and see if our idea of what the physical therapy experience SHOULD be would be adopted organically, one patient at a time. Fast forward to today, we our well on our way in disrupting the traditional health care model and challenging the industry to elevate the quality of care that our family, friends and neighbors deserve.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a first generation American born and raised in Dallas. I come from a line of entrepreneurs and always knew I would work for myself somehow. As a former collegiate athlete, physical therapy was a natural progression for me where I could see myself staying active, helping others, and creating a model that is greatly needed in healthcare – bringing customer service to the traditional healthcare setting. Working nights at a fancy steakhouse was a formidable experience for me and provided me with the social skills needed to be a therapist, and a business owner. I treat our practice like a high-end restaurant – you are greeted when you walk in, we remember your life events and ask about your family, and we deliver the best experience money can buy. All these soft skills have been a game-changer in the healthcare industry. We created a concept in healthcare that ACTUALLY cares about your health.

My biggest piece of advice is to make sure the employee and employer are having a mutually beneficial, symbiotic relationship. This is creating an environment where the employee is somewhat invested in the brand, what the brand offers, and is PROUD to represent the brand. For this to happen, the brand must embody the values that the employee also values. The challenge lies in finding that employees intrinsic motivations, and find how to leverage those motivations with values of your brand that this employee can embody/represent.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dallas has a dynamic restaurant scene – I love taking out of town guests to Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff to check out boutique shops and delicious restaurants. I also love exploring the nature around White Rock Lake.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I met my business partner while I was completing my last internship for PT school where he was a young patient who had been through the gambit of unnecessary surgeries and medication management, and finally found relief with a combination of targeted manual therapy and individualized mobility training that I provided for him. Starting a company in healthcare where the business partners are clinician and patient is a unique dynamic that has allowed us to create a model where both sides are being taken care of.
