Meet Michael Rouyre | Owner & Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Rouyre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For years I managed restaurants, working long nights, missing out on vacations, and constantly being called in on my time off. I reached a point where I knew that lifestyle wasn’t sustainable—I wanted more freedom and control over my life.
Photography had always been a passion of mine, and the turning point came when someone asked me to photograph a home. That moment shifted everything. I realized I could take my skills, meet a real need in the real estate market, and build a business on my own terms.
Starting this company wasn’t just about taking photos—it was about creating something I could grow, something that provided agents with real value, and most importantly, something that gave me the freedom I was looking for.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Point of View Media is all about helping real estate agents win. In this business, photos aren’t just pictures—they’re the first showing, the first impression, the reason a buyer even clicks on a listing. What sets me apart is I don’t just show up and press a button. I know how to make a property stand out, and I treat every listing like it’s a million-dollar home, no matter the size.
What I’m most proud of is the reputation I’ve built. My clients know they can rely on me for fast turnaround, consistent quality, and the kind of service that makes their job easier. I’m excited about where the company is heading—scaling into luxury listings, adding more services, and building a team that can keep up with the demand.
Getting here wasn’t easy. I started with nothing but a camera and a drive to figure it out. There were times the work felt overwhelming, times I questioned if I should keep going, but I kept showing up. I learned to adapt, stay disciplined, and push through when things got tough. The biggest lesson? Consistency & discipline beats everything. Talent matters, but showing up day after day is what builds a business.
What I want the world to know about me and Point of View Media is simple: this company was built from the ground up with grit and vision. I’m not just here to take photos—I’m here to help agents elevate their business, sell faster, and stand out in a competitive market. My story is proof that if you’re willing to bet on yourself and put in the work, you can turn your skills into freedom.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to town for a week, I’d keep it real and show them the mix of spots that make Fort Worth and the west side of DFW special.
Day one, we’d start in the Stockyards—grab a steak, walk around, and take in the history. That’s a must if you’ve never been. From there, I’d balance it with something more local like Magnolia Ave for good food and craft drinks—Heim BBQ for some of the best barbecue you’ll find, then maybe hit a rooftop bar downtown at night.
During the week, we’d spend some time outdoors—especially out on the boat at Eagle Mountain Lake. It’s my favorite spot to relax and hang out on the water.. Trinity Trails are great for biking or just walking it off. And if we wanted more energy, we’d shoot over to AT&T Stadium for a Cowboys game or catch the Rangers at Globe Life.
As for culture, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and Sundance Square downtown always impress. I’d mix that with local favorites like Joe T. Garcia’s for margaritas on the patio and Panther Island Brewing for a laid-back night.
End the week with something simple but perfect—good food, good drinks, and good friends hanging out at the house playing board games!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe a lot to the real estate agents who trusted me early on. They gave me a shot when I was still proving myself, and those opportunities turned into the foundation of my business. Just as important are the agents I work with today—the ones who stay loyal and continue to come back to me day after day. Their trust means everything, and they’re a big part of why this company keeps growing.
I also have to thank my family and close friends for always backing me up. Their support gave me the confidence to keep pushing when the road wasn’t easy.
