Hi Meme, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
One of my favorite Affirmations that keeps me going is Scripture Romans 12 verse 2, that says, ” Do not copy the customs and behaviors of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..”. it is in fact my life scripture.Throughout my life I was always drawn to the idea of working for myself, but my mindset was always very doubtful and fearful of how I would execute my vision or if people would support me. I had to find some sense of peace and it caused me to get closer to God, sooner than later I spent time with him more & more each day and through that I got the vision to pursue my career of entrepreneurship as a hairstylist by working with my God given gifts, my hands. I was always envisioning using my creativity to my advantage but I had never put my mind to it. Once I started my business I found a new meaning to my life, with the reminder of this scripture my mind drastically began to change my view point concerning the doubts I had and the opinions of others. In the industry of entrepreneurship it’s so easy to compare yourself day to day, how you operate, the way you do things, the amount of money you make verses others, and the list goes on. Once you shift your mind and focus on you and your vision instead of everyone else around you God will do the rest, this scripture is my day to day reminder.

 

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I want the world to know that I am A professional creative, which means that I operate based on putting my mind towards a vision and bringing it to life. I am so proud to have experienced getting through Cosmetology School because it enhanced my knowledge in the beauty industry, where before I didn’t feel as if I needed school or a license to pursue my career as a professional hairstylist. Sharpening my skills means everything to me & my brand, when you come into my chair I want you to not only get a beautiful hairstyle but to also enjoy an experience, I want my clientele to relax knowing that I can make their look come to life. My passion sets me apart from other hairstylists. Due to time evolving and new inventions created every day I take the time to broaden my knowledge with new looks, healthy products and trends so that I can enhance my clienteles experience and diversify my clientele base.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I think some of the most fun and interesting things to check out is traveling outside the country or even if you’re in the United States traveling somewhere with a nice beach and view, it’s always so refreshing. One of my most memorable and fun times was riding bikes during sunset on Venice Beach in California I had a blast, 10/10 recommend! I love spending time with loved ones and just vibing out to good music with the people that embrace and love me for who I am, that’s my form of a good time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give thanks and dedicate my shoutout to God, my close friends and family for getting me through hard times as well as giving me words of wisdom and encouragement through my time of despair; while attending cosmetology school and building my brand.
