We had the good fortune of connecting with Mayank Sharma and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mayank, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success to me is being in harmony with the work I am doing and a healthy mind. Success to me is also to accept my failures and moving beyond them and in the process gaining valuable experiences. I would define success also as having a growth mindset in life so that you are constantly learning and improving.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Wize Academy teaches coding, robotics, AI, etc. to young learners and we are present in multiple locations in the US & Canada. and have taught more than 10000+ students. When the corona pandemic started, we shifted all our sessions to online sessions. The same approach we applied in India too and I had to lead the project.
It was a difficult task at first as we were starting a new project and we had to take care of marketing and getting the word across to parents.
Slowly, after taking lots of demo sessions, we started our sessions and the sessions are now running at a good pace.

What I would like to tell is that with proper strategy, accepting the rejections, and good teamwork, we can run a successful project.
I feel that a good combination of soft skills and hard skills is needed to reach where a person wants to reach professionally. I also give a lot of importance to emotional intelligence and resilience when you have to overcome challenges.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would love to show my best friend my city, Delhi.

First of all, I would take my friend to one of the most famous places in Delhi which has to be Connaught Place. Here we can do shopping either in the most expensive brand showrooms or we can do a cheap bargain at Palika Bazaar. After that, we can eat at some of the finest cafes in the area.
On the next day, I would take my friend to the hustle and bustle of the world-famous area known as Chandni Chowk. Here we can eat street food( probably the best in Delhi) like Chole Bhature, Paranthas, Lassi, etc. After that, we would go see the Red Fort.
The next place I would take my friend is to see some of the best monuments and parks. I would start with Lodhi Gardens and after that, we would eat at Khan market. Khan market has some of the best cafes in Delhi.
The next thing we will visit is the world-famous monument of height around 72.5 meters, the Qutub Minar.
Maybe the next day we will go to the Garden of five senses. It is spread over 20 acres.
For clubbing, we would go to Hauz Khas village as it’s the most famous destination for partying.

So, in a span of 5-7 days, I will make sure that I make my best friend experience everything exciting that my city has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to say that in this 21st century, teamwork and having the correct mentors are the keys to a successful and happy life. No matter how smart/intelligent a person is, he/she cannot do everything and achieve much alone. So, I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my mentors Vishal Bhasin & Venus Bhasin (co-founders, Wize Academy). In my story, they get all the credit for guiding me and shaping my personality.
