We had the good fortune of connecting with Mary Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mary, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was a little nervous at the very beginning just because I thought about finances, but I feel I have always been ready even as a child. I knew I wanted to be my own business owner and own multiple businesses not just one.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started as a receptionist when I was a teenager. The years flew by and after years of experience It was time to start my own. It definitely has not been easy but, with God’s grace I overcame all the hardships and pushed through. I learned along the way that nothing worth it will be easy and that being consistent and investing in self-development and mindset helped me. I fell in love with helping people and educating them and that’s what I am most proud of about my business. I am also very proud of educating the Hispanic community as an immigrant’s daughter it has always been very important to me. I see MDS TAX SERVICES growing and expanding to with new services in the future years.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to hang out in downtown Dallas at the pool relaxing at the National or Monarch with the amazing downtown views. I love to hangout in uptown Dallas walking around and enjoying a day out shopping or playing at the park with the kids.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes! definitely my mentors Wayne & Glenda since I was teenager. They have impacted my life tremendously, and have a lot to do with my growth and launching my own Tax office and consulting.
