We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariella Espinoza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariella, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I was once a girl working an 8am-5pm job it was getting the bills paid however I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Just wasn’t sure what I wanted to do exactly. When I came upon lash extensions I loved the fact that each set could be custom. Long, short, bold, natural, colorful, allowing me to get creative learning how to mix lengths, curls, diameters, and colors. Combining the ability to be creative and income became an instant match allowing me to be here today. Taking control of what I represent and enjoy doing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
DAL-LASH has came some way, I knew i wanted to create a brand that represented home (Dallas) yet also feminine and modern. Reason why our logo has the Dallas skyline in the eye. Followed with gorges eyelashes. Owning and operating a business is not easy, however the freedom and ability to generate income is what motivates me to continue learning ways to help myself be successful. The key is to never stop learning.
I want everyone to know DAL-LASH is a studio where I help empower woman, wether its me servicing them, or guiding them on their new journey through my trainings. I was once new to the industry and quickly understood many people weren’t wiling to answer any questions. I believe we are all humans and helping each other can help us get further in life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a great question with Dallas increasing in population and many new establishments. You can’t go wrong with catching dinner in Bishop Arts, Legacy hall or at The Star. As we all know Dallas Cowboys are America’s team. Thankfully Juan sales tickets, so getting a pair of tickets to any sporting event or show that weekend would be fun specially a Mavs , or Stars game. I believe everyone should experience a basketball, football, or any sport event in Dallas you can’t go wrong with a few drinks and a game!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I’m a woman of faith thank god for allowing me to wake up daily. Wouldn’t be here today sharing my story. Watching my parent’s work ethic, and sacrifices where prime example of why I wanted to make sure I broke generational barriers. As an older sister to two siblings I knew I had to make my family proud and set a good example.
To my boyfriend Juan for supporting me the whole way. Together we have learned through each others journey business and life wise. Love you babe !
I also couldn’t miss shouting out the woman that started as clients and became very good friends. Elizabeth (e.v.a.fit) and Roxanne (@roxannemarinphoto) for the amazing conversations, mentorship, & woman empowerment we share. As we are woman who operate our own businesses and personal life, admirable women!
