We had the good fortune of connecting with Mackenzie Owens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mackenzie, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
There has definitely been a lot of trial and error on this journey! Chiropractic school and fitness training share common success factors, including the importance of consistent effort and discipline. In both fields, I have had to maintain a structured routine, active engagement with learning, and promising myself to commit to my health. Networking and seeking guidance from experienced individuals enhanced my knowledge for school while watching influences helped with my gym performance. Ultimately, setting clear goals, tracking progress, and remaining adaptable and open to ongoing learning were keys to my success in both chiropractic school and fitness training.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a chiropractic student and a fitness coach, and what sets me apart is my passion for inspiring others on their fitness journey and building a community around health and wellness. What I’m most proud of and excited about is the opportunity to merge my knowledge of chiropractic care with fitness coaching, offering a holistic approach to well-being.

My journey to where I am today professionally hasn’t been without its challenges. Balancing the demands of chiropractic school while pursuing a career in fitness coaching required dedication and time management. I overcame these challenges by staying committed to my goals, seeking mentorship from experienced professionals in both fields, and continuously educating myself to ensure that I could provide the best guidance to my clients.

Throughout my journey, I’ve learned valuable lessons about the importance of adaptability, resilience, and the significance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. It’s been a rewarding experience to witness the positive transformations in my clients’ lives, not just physically but also mentally and emotionally.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I’m dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals while promoting overall well-being and health. My story is one of passion, perseverance, and the belief that a balanced approach to fitness can have a profound impact on people’s lives. I hope to continue growing my community and inspire others to prioritize their health and wellness on their own unique fitness journeys.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Texas! If you are coming during the fall, you better believe we will be going to the Texas State Fair, the most Texan place on earth. Every year I have a season pass burning a hole in my pocket and so many good foods that await me! Next we would dive into the local scene by exploring Deep Ellum’s street art and lively atmosphere. In Deep Ellum do not forget to bring your back-up shoes after a long Sunday fun day full of eating and drinking mimosas. To balance the urban buzz, outdoor adventures in scenic parks await, offering the chance for us to connect with nature. Plus, cultural immersion at world-class museums adds that much more to your experience. Lastly, we cannot forget retail therapy! We would definitely visit my favorite shopping scenes such as the Dallas Galleria, Stone Briar mall, and the Legacy West shopping center, which I consider the Rodeo Drive of Texas!
