We had the good fortune of connecting with Lital Meloul and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lital, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, I didn’t mean to start my own business. Lol! I always wanted to start my own business but I never knew what it would be. I have an extensive background managing businesses in the cosmetics world for Nordstrom, MAC Cosmetics, and Clinique to name a few for over 12 years and all of those years taught me so much. What happened was I was having a lot of anxiety and a lot of headaches and I couldn’t figure out what was triggering it all so it was just constant. I am not one to remember to take daily medications, and also, I didn’t want to. I knew there had to be a better, healthier way for me to live without the anxiety and headaches and without needing pharmaceuticals. So I started experimenting with essential oils and when it worked so well for me, I knew I had to share it. If you are someone who also deals with anxiety, too much stress, racing mind, head aches, muscle aches, or body aches, then please be sure to check out 2 of my Reiki Infused Organic Essential Oil Rollers: SOOTHE and SERENE. Both made with USDA Organic Coconut Oil as the carrier oil and Organic Essential Oils, because what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in them as our skin is our largest organ. And, of course, all hand made items are reiki infused by me.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
moonlightREMEDIES is everything I was always meant to be. Its not just a brand for me, its who I am. Every essential oil roller made, every bracelet I string, every crystal I hand pick, or every musical instrument I add to my collection, its all with the intention of helping other find ways to heal themselves in a holistic way. The umbrella of moonlightREMEDIES extends so far. I offer physical products and services all with the intention of showing you that you have the power of your own well being all in your own hands. You are the super hero! I am just here to help show you the way if needed and provide tools to help you succeed. And every item I make, or every sound bath I play, it is all done with love, great vibes, and great intentions.
I have to say, the road here was not easy. I went through a lot working in the corporate world. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I learned so much about myself, about working with different personality types, about talking to strangers on a daily basis and feeling comfortable, about effective communication, and lastly, about speaking confidently in large groups. All of these experiences have been priceless and I am so grateful for all of it.
To anyone reading this, know and believe that nothing is impossible. If you want something bad enough, all you need to do is start living every day with that goal in mind and start making strides to get there. You will see your whole world around you turn and push you towards that success. I am a very firm believer that if you work really hard at something and that is the action and energy you are pushing into the universe, the only response the universe can give back is success. It’s just science.
I started moonlightREMEDIES in April of 2021, and today it is my full time job. I spent the last 2 years working a different full time job during the week and working on my business after work and on the weekends. And not too long ago I was able to become my own boss full time and my life just continues to get better and better every single day. Was it scary? Hell Yeah! Lol! And so worth it. You’ll see.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok, so some of my favorite spots in Dallas that I would definitely have to take a friend visiting are The Arboretum & White Rock Lake for an outdoor day. I would bring my crystal bowls and my other instruments and we could just jam in the park. They are both so peaceful and grounding (when they aren’t too crowded Lol!). After we would definitely hit up a Velvet Taco. I might have a small obsession with tacos. I go back and forth between Torchy’s And Velvet. Lol! Another place I would have to take them is to Entelechea Wellness Center for some of their awesome activities. They have weekly events happening that I love including weekly sound baths and breathwork groups that I highly recommend. We would for sure have to go to Sanobel’s and Selda in Addison for Middle Eastern Food. I am originally Israeli so its in my blood. Lol! And on the weekend, we would start at The Spin Coffee & Vinyl Shop for the best coffee in Dallas and then we would need to hit up a Holistic Fair and Farmers Market. Support Local & Support Small.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this article to all the strong women and men that I have had the pleasure of working with in all of my years. I have learned so much from each and every one of you. All of the feed back, growing pains, successes, it was all teamwork. Everything we did, we did together and I would not be where I am or have as much experience as I have without each and every one of you.
I also have 4 very specific managers that I worked with that helped shape who I am, who took the time to teach me to be better, and who made sure that I always continued learning and growing. Thank you. I appreciate it more than you know.
And of course, a huge shout out to my family for always being so supportive in everything I choose to do in my life. I feel like I can do anything and I know you will always have my back, so thank you!
