Meet Lisa Henry Weaver | Ranches to Residential Real Estate Broker/Associate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Henry Weaver and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
When you lose any business always say “Give it a 3 second funeral and move on to bigger and better business” My mother always said this when a deal fell through. My mother was my inspiration to becoming the best Real Estate Broker I could be.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed broker in the State of Texas. I got my real estate license in 1998 and my brokers license in the very early 2000’s. I took over my mothers thriving real estate business in 2000 and ran it until the end of 2019 when my mother became ill and I needed more time to spend with her. At that time I merged my office with Coldwell Banker Apex. I loved having my own office and taking care of my agents but it was the right time to get out of the day to day management and focus solely on my client’s. When I did this I grew my business and my team. Last year we closed 48 million in sales with over 80 transactions. Watching my mother run the house and business growing up taught me the work ethic I have today. I don’t sit around and wait for business, I go get it.. I follow up with all client’s and try very hard to always return calls within a few minutes.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Bush Library, Dallas Aquariam, Downtown Dallas, Six Flags, Dallas Cowboys or a Dallas Stars Game, State Fair of Texas (the biggest and best in the country). Fairview Farmers for breakfast and any Mexican restaurant for lunch or dinner. I’d also take them on a day trip to Choctaw Casino in Durant (It’s only an hour)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother. She obtained her license when I was just 2 or 3 in the late 60’s. With her first commission check she dontated money to the church and bought me a little pink bike with training wheels and a little flower basket on the front. I grew up in the business and in 1998 when I left corporate America I got my license and worked along side my mother until her passing in 2020. She taught me to give back to the community we serve. She was a very respected member of our community and I hope to be half the woman she was.
