We had the good fortune of connecting with LeAndria Black and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LeAndria, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?

B FIT with LA was created to educate and inspire women of all ages and body types on the importance of strength training, corrective exercise, and proper nutrition habits. In a society filled with endless information through social media; it can be challenging to know what is best for YOUR body. My company helps women build confidence in and out of the gym! Whether it is lifting a certain amount of weight or eating certain foods without feeling guilty.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

B FIT with LA started in May of 2020 when I officially resigned from my corporate training position. It was a tough decision that I prayed about. My passion for health fitness grew into the company it is today. I created B FIT with LA to help educate women through their fitness journeys. As a woman, who has personally been through many different phases of my own fitness journey and compared my body to others; I wanted this company to instill confidence and self love for your own body.

B FIT with LA started with zoom personal training calls, then moved to online challenges, and now I train women in-person and virtually all over the DFW Metroplex. Throughout this process of building a business during a pandemic, some days were easier than others, but one thing remains true, which is that I never stopped believing in myself. I knew God gave me this talent to positively impact the lives of many women through the fitness industry.

Some things that helped me grow my business are 1) Reading my Bible daily and success books like “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill; 2) Realize there is always more learning to be done, whether it’s a new way of training or social media hack; and 3) Staying positive! There are times when I look in the mirror and think I can’t run a business by myself, but at the end of the day I KNOW I can.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

LA’s Favorite Fort Worth Spots:

I am a huge Breakfast fan, so my favorite spots are Mamaka Bowl, First Watch, or White Rhino.
For Lunch I’d take my friend to HG Supply or Velvet Taco. For Dinner we could go to Sushi Axiom, Gemelle’s or Cane Rosso. I love trying different foods!

One of my favorite outdoor activities is to take advantage of the beautiful views that the Trinity Trails has to offer! Some other great places that I love are of course West 7th for shopping and food, The Fort Worth Zoo, The Botanical Garden, and The Stockyards.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I give God all the glory and credit for where I am today! He guided me through working for someone else to working for myself. I would also like to shoutout to my family and friends for being so supportive and a special shoutout to my mom! She never once doubted my abilities to build a business, even during a pandemic.
