We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Henley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from Desoto, Texas. For as long as I can remember, my dad has always kept a couple pairs of Stan Smith Adidas Tennis shoes in his closet. With navy or green accents, we eventually had many matching pairs becoming a staple in my fashion upbringing. My dad actually bought us both another pair this year for Christmas. My mom was a Keds phenom and kept a pair in rotation in her closet and mine. Unbeknownst to them, my parents actually introduced me to my love of sneakers, style, and fashion.
What should our readers know about your business?
Right now I am transitioning my style services to creative consulting. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside multiple brands serving as a creative consultant, and it feels awesome to have my business and creative opinion valued high enough to oversee others. What I have enjoyed most is being able to open the door for others as I contribute to the quarterly magazine By Design.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Upon arrival, my first stop would be Happiest Hour in Downton Dallas. It’s my absolute favorite place to frequent due to the aesthetics, open atmosphere, and sports haven. With Covid, finding safe spaces to enjoy with limited capacity and outdoor dining has become one of my new favorite pastimes, so Happiest is always my first stop. We’d likely explore Klyde Warren downtown for photo opps and food, maybe stroll through Viridian park for a nice lake view, and finish our time with a good glass of red wine on a rooftop like HG&SPLY.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My support system plays a big part I my success. From giving me opportunities to practice styling or providing platforms to showcase my work, my circle has been consistently supportive and encouraging on my journey. When there were times I struggled with believing in myself, their belief carried me keeping me afloat.
