Meet Lauren Breeden | Mobility and Flexibility Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Breeden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Everybody knows that movement is important, but it often isn’t until there is pain, restriction or injury that we seek out the help of a professional. Assisted stretching is the best way to improve mobility, but as a stretching and flexibility specialist, I take it a step further. By using a massage gun, grounding therapy tools, a massage foam roller, hot and cold therapy, and myofascial release, I can help the client experience healing from the inside out, sometimes in as little as 1-2 sessions. Most of my clients come in not knowing what to expect, but end up booking out sessions for the long term! If you’re not as mobile or flexible as you should be and can’t find the time and dedication to make stretching part of your daily routine – then you need Mobi-Flex sessions in your life!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What a loaded question this one is! My idea for Health.Hope.Vitality, LLC and Mobi-Flex sessions comes through my own major health struggles. Being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus in my 20’s, I experienced widespread pain on a daily basis and over time learned how to overcome it with movement and diet changes. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and after learning more of the techniques with assisted stretching and seeing the difference it made for people – I was hooked. Assisted stretching wasn’t my first business idea, but it is the one I’m going to stick with. Being able to bring people pain relief and offer some relaxation in addition to nutrition advice is my highest calling. Business started out slow (as most businesses do), but word is starting to catch on, and unfortunately there will always be people that need my services. There have been times I wanted to give up, but I kept on going – knowing that there are people out there that are dependent on the care I bring. I’ve been told by several of my clients that I have a gift for what I do, and if that’s the case I can’t stop now!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is SO much to do in McKinney! I live and operate my business very close to the downtown area in McKinney, so we’d no doubt hit up Mom and Popcorn for some nostalgic sweets, Spoons for some amazing coffee and brunch, and maybe The Pub at night to top it all off! The parks around here are also beautiful, so if the weather cooperated I’d take them for a walk around Towne Lake to see the ducks and get some movement in.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely have to dedicate a huge part of my success to Dr. Seth Austin, DC in McKinney! He put his faith and trust in me and let me use his office space part of the week so I’d have a professional space to do sessions in. And thanks to his continual referrals – I had to expand my schedule and bring sessions to my home office to accommodate. I truly wouldn’t be here without his help!
