We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Paige and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve had to make was stepping into a different lifestyle/ train of thought and circles that led me into a different tax bracket and pursuing a path that no one in my family had ventured into before. This decision seemed daunting, as it felt like I was leaving my family behind.

I would get a lot of responses like “you think you’re better than us.” However, in reality, I was laying the groundwork for a more accessible and prosperous future for both myself and my family. This leap of faith was challenging, but it was driven by a deep desire to create a better life for all of us.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
By the time this article is published I will be in a full launch of my non profit that will take underserved children on luxury vacations.

Your Unique Mission: is distinctive. While many organizations aim to provide essential needs to underserved communities, your focus on luxury vacations brings a touch of exclusivity and memorable experiences to these kids, which can have a profound impact on their lives by

1. Broadening Horizons: By exposing underserved children to luxury vacations, you are broadening their horizons and showing them a world they might not have otherwise experienced. This exposure can inspire them to dream big and set ambitious goals for their future.

2. Positive Impact: Luxury vacations can provide not only fun and relaxation but also an environment for personal growth and development. This sets your non-profit apart by offering a holistic approach to helping these kids thrive in life.

3. Empowering Futures: By providing opportunities that are often reserved for those in higher tax brackets, you’re empowering these kids to believe in themselves and their potential. This can be a life-changing experience that propels them towards success.

4. Building Memories: You’re creating lasting memories for these children, which can positively influence their self-esteem, mental well-being, and overall life outlook.

This will take place for the children but also the staff in the organizations in which they serve as the staff with have additional training for these trips and be included fully.

Wow!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I could take you, best friend, on a week of adventures in my city we’d definitely visit:

Perry’s Steakhouse. I don’t need a reason to indulge in Perrys famous pork chop but thanks for allowing me another reason to add it to someone else’s crave list. It has an awesome view of Klyde Warren Park so that we could people watch.

2. Hopefully that day at Klyde Warren Studio 22 was hosting free West Coast Swing in the park. We could be amazed at ourselves as Pam taught us how to turn like professional dancers. The great energy and crowd that they bring would keep us moving all night.

3. Our Rangers literally just made it to the World series so we have to check out their stadium, new and old, before heading over to Texas Live for good music, good fun and bull rides!

4. We won’t eat all this in a day I promise but

Aunt Irene’s: you can have whatever you like and you will like it ALL!

South Side Steaks and Cakes: Their cheesesteaks are amazing and I DO NOT eat them outside of Philly normally so this says a lot. Besides their wings are top tier.

Thibadeaux: because if Dominique isn’t teaching us to swing dance (a Texas tradition) then Don Diego (a Texas treasure) and his band is going to entertain us in a way that makes us forget that we are in public as we eat the pork chop sandwich with vigor.

Drakes: because I love the cake and it comes with a sparkler

Po Melvins: in Irving because you always need down home cooking for the soul

And a taco tour in Irving because you deserve.

5. We will tour the neighborhood and homes in South Dallas and marvel at the properties that COIR has created as they focus on revitalization versus gentrification.

6. If it’s Christmas we are heading to highland park to hop on the trolley to watch the lights before driving to Deerfield and watching the music match the lights!

7. Lastly, gather some great views of dallas from the National where I live.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my success to several key influences in my life. First and foremost, I owe a significant portion of my success to my faith in Jesus Christ, who has been a guiding light and a source of unwavering strength in my journey. My ability to never settle for what was in front of me was also fueled by His teachings of perseverance and faith.

I also want to recognize my incredible network of friends who have been pillars of support, offering encouragement, advice, and sometimes even tough love when needed. Their presence has made the path to success all the more enjoyable and less daunting.

Finally, I’d like to mention the spirit within me that enabled me to trudge through fear and venture into unknown spaces. This spirit has allowed me to maintain an innocence about myself, always embracing new challenges with enthusiasm and a belief in the possibilities that lie ahead
