Meet Latoya Jones | Treat Maker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Latoya Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Latoya, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Honestly, I was dipping strawberries at home one day for fun during the pandemic in 2020 and one thing led to another from me posting pictures on Facebook and people saw them and started to inquire about purchasing some and from there it took off

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a certified medical assistant by day working in an oncology practice. With my treats, what sets me apart is my ability to create the perfect treats for my customer. I want them 100% satisfied when they look and taste their treats. There have been challenges along the way because creating these treats can take hours and there have been times where I messed up and would start all over. I want the world to know that Shamanda’s Treats will be known all over the world and you can do anything you set your mind to.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas called Mexican Sugar followed by a nice evening at Sandanga, which is a jazz club in Deep Ellum. The most interesting things to check out would be Downtown Dallas where there is plenty to sight see

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give all credit to God, who gifted me with the creative hands to create sweet treats. Secondly, my mom for being a big inspiration in my life and always supporting everything I do.
