Meet LaCora Robinson | Model, MUA, & Financial Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with LaCora Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaCora, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose to pursue a creative career because my parents are creative and naturally from a young age I have always been creative. So it is definitely something that runs in the family. I love being in a creative atmosphere and having the opportunity to produce something new. I like the idea that nothing can be replicated because every job is so different and unique in there own way.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I consider myself an artist that allows other artist to display their creations and designs on me also known as a model. I love that I can bring designers creations to life. As a makeup artist I love to make my clients feel beautiful. I am most proud that I am using my gifts to serve others all while making a living. As of a year ago my family and I joined a financial business to help families build generational wealth and learn financial literacy. As an entrepreneur I wanted to do a few different things that made a big difference in peoples lives. Being involved in multiple roles is not easy but I truly love what I do. I have built up my work endurance and by doing that I have accomplished so much more. Some lessons I’ve learned on the way are to set your standards in life and your business. Its good to try new things and surround yourself with positive people. What I want people to know about my brand name is @iamlacorazon which translates too “I am the heart” so I want the world to know I operate my business from a place of love and sometimes tough love too lol. But I love to uplift and I love to see people win!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite spots in the city to eat would be Drew’s Place and True Kitchen and Koctails. The Water Garden in Fort Worth is a cute place. I love some of the rooftop scenery in Dallas like the Waterproof. Xoxo is also a cute restaurant for a girl night out! For my creatives who are looking for a place to shoot or host an event the Don P Agency always had something going on in their studio.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my Parents Halima Williams and Bruce Robinson for their support on every single business endeavor I have pursued. My sister Khyra Johnson for assisting me with all my technical support. Willie Johnson who is now my manager of my modeling career for supporting and believing in me.
