Meet Kyle Wimberley

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Wimberley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyle, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Discipline and consistency—that’s the secret sauce. Those two things have been the backbone of everything I’ve achieved, whether it’s in the gym, my career, or even in relationships. The truth is, motivation comes and goes. It’s easy to feel fired up for a few days, but when that fire fades, it’s the discipline that keeps you showing up. That’s the real game changer. Success doesn’t happen overnight—it happens when you keep showing up, putting in the work, and pushing through even on the days you don’t feel like it. That’s the difference. Anyone can be motivated for a moment… but discipline? That’s what separates the ones who talk from the ones who actually do it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Most people know me from Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret, where I had the once-in-a-lifetime chance to share my story on a national stage and represent where I come from. Being part of the show pushed me outside my comfort zone, challenged me in unexpected ways, and reminded me that you don’t have to change who you are to belong somewhere bigger. I’m proud that I showed up as myself—Southern roots, small-town grit, and all—and proved that authenticity still matters. Along the way, I’ve learned that resilience, humility, and heart go a long way. Outside of the show, I work as an operations manager for a water well drilling company, where I focus on building strong teams and better systems from the ground up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we’re in Fort Worth, you already know where I’m headed—the Stockyards. That’s my spot. No question. The boots, the jeans, the hats, the whole vibe—it just feels like home to me. I try to make it to the rodeo every time it’s in town. There’s just something about it. The energy, the tradition… it’s my kind of night out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I gotta give the biggest shoutout to my mom. She’s been the heart and soul behind everything good in my life. The sacrifices she’s made—some I’ve seen, and probably a whole lot I haven’t—mean more than I could ever say. Anything I’ve achieved, it’s because of the foundation she built for me. And I can’t talk about family without mentioning my stepdad. It takes a real one to step in and raise a kid who isn’t biologically yours—and do it with that kind of love and consistency. He’s shown up for me in every way that matters. I’m grateful for both of them every single day.
