We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristen Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristen, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is 100% essential for growth. I preach on this because I’ve seen where it can take not only me, but so many around me that are brave enough to take the plunge. Let me start by saying, my parents were not big risk takers. Nothing wrong with that,to each their own. But I felt I was wired different. In college, when they told me to “work a comfortable summer job” with a set hourly pay, the rebellious side of me said “no, I’m going door to door selling kids books.” Not everyone understood the “ifcome”. They thought I should be making an “income”. Commission based pay wasn’t familiar to them. I took the risk my junior year of college, moved to a different state, lived with girls from school I barely knew, in a host families house (that I knocked on doors to find) and knocked 80 hours a week selling educational books to families in their home. That internship set the stage for my risk taking. I made $15,000 that summer. I saw what I was capable of. I took the risk to move from Florida to Texas with no job, only knowing my (now) husband. I knew I could find a job and make friends! That lead me to becoming a teacher. That was a great, comfortable career. For most. Again, I realized it wasn’t for me. I wanted more. At the same time, I got involved with network marketing. Yes, many times I failed at it. But when I started succeeding at one certain company, I dedicated everything to it. Insert one of the biggest risks ever. On a whim, while sitting in the principals office, I put in my 2 weeks notice. Out of nowhere I just QUIT. It was one of the scariest decisions, however, it let me to the path I’m on now. I trusted that God had my back. And thank God that my husband did too. I went all in that direct sales company. I worked hard, earned top rank and even made a million dollars. A scary risk that I took turned into a 7 figure earner! But the story doesn’t end. I was crazy enough to take the risk again and move on to a new company. I can’t preach it if I’m not practicing it. So here I am now, on another adventure to prove that taking risks is what propels you forward. I always think “I never want to get to the end of my life and say what if?” I don’t want any “what if” left behind. I’m making the decision, taking the risk and sticking to it!! So far it’s all worked out either as a lesson or a leap.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
After any successful years in network marketing, I am proud to say I am launching a brand new company that’s blowing up the industry and already turning heads. We just opened in December and are still in soft launch. We have already brought in over 4 million in sales in 4 months. I am so excited to change the game on health and wellness. We are focused on healing the body naturally. We currently have products with CBD/CBG/CBN, nootropics, mood enhancers, weight management and immune boosting that no one else has. Our property blends make our products unique to us. We will soon be going more into weightloss, energy, and beauty! I have got to where I am today because I first took the products I represent, fell in love with them and told everyone I knew. I decided I was going to the top, I commited and I was consistent. Of course it wasn’t easy, but nothing worth having it. I’m going to work hard anyways, might as well be toward my own goals and dreams. Plus I get to help others do the same. I have overcome challenges of being made fun of, mocking, talked about, told no, ignored. But what I’ve found Is that’s on them. Not me. They don’t know. They don’t understand. Also, they don’t live my life. If I don’t want to trade places, then I can’t let it effect me. I have learned people over profits. Help them first. Give selflessly. Provide value. Be someone’s friend. That’s what they want. When they trust you, they will want to know anything you represent. They will Be on board because you put them first. My story is always evolving. But I want the world to know we are creating a network marketing company that’s breaking the stigma. We are inclusive. We collaborate. We help you become your highest self.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We will definitely start the morning off with brunch at the Up Inspired Kitchen. The ham and cheese toast is phenomenal. We would then hit highland Park Village shopping. Probably spend more than we should. Next we would grab drinks at the frisco rail yard and end the night with dinner at Haywire. We would be sure to go to Katy trail one evening and dessert at Monster Yogurt in Richardson. We would get our nails done at Luxy nails in Plano!! V is the best with design! We would hit up Nektar juice bar and get our hair done at dry bar.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to shout out my MOMs out Marketing group! This is not your typical networking group! These are my ladies, my tribe. It is a place where I can bring my kiddos if I want, I can meet and mingle with other moms and learn from their MOMprenuer ambitions. Sara Belmonte runs the group and makes sure we have two speakers train us on the essential entrepreneur skills we need to succeed. They have become my family and my team! There are so many successful ladies rooting one another on! That’s what it’s all about!
