We had the good fortune of connecting with Khalei Waldrop and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khalei, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Honestly, I’m inspired by the in-between moments, the ones that don’t make the highlight reel. The unfinished coffee, the early mornings, the deep breath before a toddler meltdown. Those micro-moments is where real life happens.

I started creating content not because I had it all figured out, but because I didn’t. And I knew other moms were out there feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or stretched thin by the pressure to do it all perfectly. I wanted to build a space that helped others feel understood and seen.

I’m inspired by those who seem to manage it all with grace. I make it a mission to live every moment and every day like it could be the last. When I became a mom, I lost myself in motherhood and my goal now has been to find myself as “Khalei” not just mom and showing other moms they can too.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is rooted in showing up as the friend in your phone—someone who reminds you that you can take care of yourself without having it all together first. I blend lifestyle and wellness in a way that’s honest, accessible, and emotionally grounded. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being present.

What sets me apart is the rawness and realness. I don’t just share tips—I share turning points. I’ve built this brand through consistency, connection, and trust. And no, it definitely wasn’t easy. I’ve created content through postpartum anxiety, burnout, and major life shifts. But those challenges made my message stronger—they taught me that vulnerability is power when it’s paired with purpose.

What I’m most proud of? That moms tell me they feel seen. That I help them exhale, reflect, and remember their worth. I’ve learned that impact isn’t about virality—it’s about resonance. And what I want the world to know is this: You don’t need to wait until you’re more ‘ready’ to take up space. Show up as you are. That’s enough. That’s powerful. That’s the brand I’m building.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely spend a day walking around downtown McKinney and shop in all of the cute boutiques. We would have a spa day at WorldSprings. We would eat dinner somewhere in Legacy west. We would go to a concert at AT&T stadium.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My closest friends and family who have supported me on my journey in every single aspect even if my dreams and goals seemed crazy to the outside world.
