Meet Khaira Summer | Creator of The Ebony Thoughtrix

We had the good fortune of connecting with Khaira Summer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khaira, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I told myself that I wanted to create something that would leave my own signature imprint on the world. I knew that it was not going to happen working for someone else. So in Jan 2020 I started developing my own business beyond the ideal of turning my hustle into a business. This is when I birthed The Ebony Thoughtrix a business that was birthed from something that I naturally did which was thinking, and shifting my reality by doing so. My ultimate desire for my business is that the work I do here will transcend even when I am no longer in this world.

What should our readers know about your business?
The Ebony Thoughtrix was birth from my gift of bringing other people to their self realized self. I have been called a mother to many, and through this declaration I have helped many women on their journey back to self. I live a life that is of my own, and what I mean by this is we talk a lot about being just you. To live your life as if you have already arrived. I say live your life as you please. Life is so abundant that when you start to flow with it, and allow yourself the space to flow. Everything that you desire is on the other side. No need to fake it to you make it, or just settle never allowing yourself to grow. This has been my practice for my own business, and I officially launched my business in March of this year, The growth of my reach is nothing of short of powerful, and i’m only at the beginning.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them downtown. There has been so much reconstruction that I haven’t even seen all of it. You have The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Reunion Tower where you can eat in a spinning ball fun. There is even a big eye now where you can take selfies at. Dallas has really morphed into a great place to explore, and have fun. Love this city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My daughter, She has been the inspiration behind me following my passion, and living life to the fullest. I am so grateful that she choose me to be her mom, because she has shown me that life is about becoming all that you dream of.
