We had the good fortune of connecting with Kesha Newman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kesha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I consider myself a natural born leader. I love being in a position that allows me to connect and help others. I knew Starting a virtual podcast platform would allow me to do that, and also help push other leaders to their highest potential by marketing and branding themselves via podcasting, which is the new wave. I love what I do.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Nothing in life is really smooth, to be honest, lol. However, I really can’t complain. In this type of business, you have to ensure that you are working with like-minded people that understand your passion and respect your vision. Consistency is the key. I lost a few people along this journey. It was all out of love though. Some of those people just had other things they had other visions for, and I was totally understanding and respectful of that. Which it caused us to part ways, but I had to keep moving.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Great question lol! Im a pretty laid back person, I like to have a good time but very strategic about my moves and crowds.

Dining- a few spots would be
Glorias
VII Kitchen & Cocktails
Jamaica Gates
Mr Crab

Drinks-
The Roof
Candy Shack Daiquiris to go

Entertainment-
Top golf
Cowboys games
Texas Live
Vinettis in addison

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Big shout out to The BlackMrkt Movement. I learned so much from working with that movement. it pushed me and gave me the courage and confidence to stand firm on the things I believe in and to realize how my contributions actually helped the city. Also, a big shout out to my team that’s currently rocking with me. Craig Watson (Aka Dr. Real) Labrita Dews (Host of Buying & Selling with Bri,) and Robbin Kelton (Host of the Mamaprenuer Podcast) Stephanie Powell (host of Essential Pedagogy Poscast) I truly want to thank them for trusting and believing in me.
