Hi Kennedy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process of starting my own business was really random. I randomly woke up one day and was like I am NEVER working for anyone else again!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So I am a Loctician/ Natural Hair Specialist. What sets me apart from other is that I’m not scared to try something new or I’m not scared of a challenge. I’m most proud of myself for never stopping. It was so many times where I wanted to & thought nothing would pay off but here I am still grinding. Professionally I got to where I am today by marketing myself & branding myself. It wasn’t easy but I made sure to post EVERYDAY & not worry about what others were doing with their work ethic. I learned many lessons along the way like don’t be afraid to ask for help, never overwork yourself, and make free time for yourself. I want the world to know that anything you want to do, that you know will benefit you in the end, do it.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to Ogle School of Arlington & all of the instructors for leading me and guiding me on this journey. It wasn’t easy but they set the tone for me. I would also like to recognize my mother and my sister, Kelsee. For always being my backbone and supporting me while starting my career.
