We had the good fortune of connecting with Kennedi Elise and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kennedi, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?

An important lesson my brand has taught me is perspective is key. Just because something didn’t work out doesn’t mean the position isn’t for me. I am still equipped and called no matter the circumstance at hand. There is an opportunity to learn in every opposition.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

Authentically Pure is a clothing brand. Our vision is to inspire and uplift while still setting trends; meaning being able to speak to others through the simplicity of clothing. Being authentically pure is a lifestyle. We are waking up making a choice. We intend on being freely authentic in every aspect including our walk with Christ; which may not be the easiest but believing it’s capable.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

For starters, I would say North Italia located in Legacy West. It’s a cute Italian spot with nice scenery all around. Next would be North Park Mall in Dallas. Anything you need they have, so have your pockets ready! To end the night I would recommend The Star District in Frisco which is also where our Dallas Cowboys practice. They have great spots for dinner as well as a cute ambiance.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would like to shoutout Shon and LaTress Peoples of True Believers Ink 2 Screen Printing and Apparel in Mckinney, Texas. When it comes to production they laid the foundation. They took me under their wing and helped develop my creative ideas to become reality. They are still my present day mentors and I definitely would not be where I am today with out them.
