We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelley Rosequist and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
PASSION Passion has been a driver of our brand and mission from day one.
Every service we offer, every package we sell, is built around our passion to improve the relationship between dogs and their owners.

We hire for culture, not experience. The main driver of our culture? Passion!
Our franchise owners and our clients become part of the DTE Family. I know it can sound cliche to call ourselves a “family”, but we absolutely are! What makes us a family? We are a group of passionate people working towards a common goal and mission…if that doesn’t make us a family, what does?!

There is an excitement that buzzes around our brand and our team. How absolutely incredible is it that we were able to build a brand around passion? Passionate owners, passionate clients, and some amazing dogs!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our story started 43 years ago with John Mestas. John got his start with hunting and field trials and spent many years competing and coaching in these arenas as well.  As John got more and more requests from his competition clients to train their pets he realized that there was a real demand for obedience training and
shifted his model to what it is today. It was always important to us that our clients and their dogs had the absolute best recipe for success, so we started our in-home training model. Our family is incredibly passionate about training and bettering our communities and we believe this is possible through improving the relationships of dogs and their owners. We have continued to add to these
programs and opportunities through  Therapy and Service Dog Training
Programs.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Go to a Rangers game!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our owners!Everything we do is centered around the owners experience because we know that having them involved is instrumental to their dogs success. I am most proud of our Service Dog Training Programs. How incredible is it that we get to change/save lives every day through Service Dog Training?!
