We had the good fortune of connecting with Keandria Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keandria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Since I was young, I always wanted to be my own boss. I didn’t know how I was going to do it or when I was going to do it. I just knew I wanted to make it happen! I’ve always been ambitious and wanted to be great. Moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area was probably the best decision my parents ever made for me. Along the way, I’ve established a lot of great connections, acquired knowledge and learned more about what the city of Dallas has to offer. I wanted to be in an environment where I could be authentically myself. I knew whatever business and/or career I decided to pursue, would have to be something that makes me happy and allow me to help and connect with people in the process. Real estate, travel, food and lifestyle was that outlet; hence the reason Touring Life was born. Touring Life is digitally integrated real estate platform with a purpose to optimize the consumer experience via marketing, branding and connection. It’s more than a home, it’s a lifestyle. We collaborate lifestyle and social activities with real estate. We strive to understand our clients’ needs, personal preference and budget. We match the interests of our clients with the best suited neighborhoods, desirable locations, dining, and entertainment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Outside of being a serial entrepreneur, real estate investor and licensed Realtor® at Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate, I work for the federal government. I’ve always been ahead of the curve. I graduated high school and started college at the age of 16. I have an Associate’s in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration from Northeast Texas Community College. I also received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Tarleton State University. It wasn’t easy getting here but I stayed persistent. The ability to successfully leverage, market and manage my brand has been the key to my success. I believe in maintaining a personal life while also building a business brand.

Things I’ve learned:

● Have the right mindset. A positive attitude will take you a long way.
● Knowledge is power. Acquire knowledge and stay up to date with the current market and events.
Never stop learning.
● It’s okay to reinvent yourself. I’m always evolving, rebranding and trying to perfect my craft.
● Set expectations and follow through with them. Never settle, live life on your own terms, teach people how you want to be treated and how you want to be perceived. It’s okay to be different.
● Business is a relationship based. Network, Network, Network! Networking with other agents, potential clients and people are essential to business and the success of your business.
● Representation and the way people perceive you matters. However, I don’t want there to be a misconception about this. Perception is something you can’t truly control. People are either going to like you or they are not and that’s okay. Be yourself and allow people to attract to you. Remember, people can’t see your emotions, intentions, values or beliefs. They can only see your actions.

If there’s anything I want people to know about my brand and my story is that I always do what makes me happy. I am the narrator of my own life. I truly enjoy working with people. When you do what you love, work is truly enjoyable. I believe in strategizing, developing a plan and ensuring every client has a memorable experience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As I previously mentioned, I love everything about the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Follow me on TikTok @SimplyKeKe_123. I have an entire TikTok dedicated to exploring Dallas-Fort Worth. I love trying new restaurants, I would definitely recommend Nick & Sam’s for a nice dinner or RH Rooftop for a nice brunch just to name a few. If I’m not eating, I’m big sports fanatic. Don’t be surprised if you find me with someone cheering on our local teams: Dallas Wings, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, or the Dallas Stars! Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Klyde Warren Park, Sundance Square, Fort Worth Stockyards, Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor and more are great alternatives.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Faith, family and friends are essential to who I am as a person. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love, support and guidance. I want to give a special recognition to my mother, Juanalita Stokes. She has always had high expectations for me. She wanted me to rise above the societal statistics given as a minority woman. As much as I hated it. I’ve truly grown to appreciate her stern ways, because that made the woman I am today. She allowed me to be different and embraced individuality. I would be doing her a disservice, if I wasn’t fearless or as revolutionary as her.
