Meet Kaylah | Barber

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaylah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaylah, how do you think about risk?
I think risk are necessary for growth and to help you trust yourself more. Often times we know what the outcome could be and play it safe. I DONT PLAY IT SAFE !! I trust GOD

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The biggest thing that sets me apart is my personality we as barbers can all do a taper fade but the conversation, laughs, and open ear sets me apart. I got here by praying everyday for my business but also putting in the hard work because FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD! It was not easy getting people to trust that you know how to cut hair especially as a woman i overcame all challenges by staying focused and perfecting my craft. Biggest lesson i learned along the way is done except friends and family to love your business like you do. Strangers will help build your business before family.
I want the world to know MY TALENT IS HAIR BUT MY PASSION IS PEOPLE

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Aw man if my bestfriend was here we’d find Dave and see where cozy hospitality is gonna be that night for nightlife. We’d eat at kitchen kocktails for the amazing food and vibe, drink at local tap because they have the best happy hour in the city, also visit a few trails to get a nice run in and lastly we’d hit Bowlounge for a couple games of bowling

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All the credit for my success goes to God and the client that believe in me everyday. Without God none of this would be possible
