Meet Katie Rizzo | Chef & Owner of Rizzo Hospitality NV

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Rizzo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My husband and I knew we wanted more for our careers than working for someone else. We have years of quality experience and talent and know the product and services we provide are unlike anyone else’s.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nickolas Rizzo was born and raised in Italy. He was trained in Fine Dining kitchens around the world and is fluent in Italian, French, and English. His attention to detail and love for food was passed onto him by his grandmother who he spent many days with in the kitchen growing up. His wife Katie was raised in a big family with four younger brothers and loved cooking from a young age. She attended The Culinary Institute of America for Baking & Pastry and received a BA in Management. She has worked at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills and the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
They both met at the White Barn Inn in Kennebunk, ME. Together they have served many people including former President Bush at his estate in Kennebunkport as well as Patrick Dempsey at his family house in Maine.
Together they enjoy serving guests as private chefs and giving experiences in private homes.
“It is special to have people enjoy their company in the space they are most comfortable. We come and serve and leave as if nothing ever happened except of course the happy full belly’s!”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Red Rock Hikes, Willow Beach/Emerald Cave Kayak Tour, 2 Days of Walking the Strip/Shopping at Malls & Outlets, Downtown Summerlin for Dinner & Bowling at Red Rock Casino, M Spa & Pool, I would do most of the cooking for meals!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband and I make such a great team because of how we were raised. Individually we have both worked incredibly hard to accomplish all the goals with the support of our families. Our parents are both still married and have been amazing role models.
