Meet Kassie Wisener | Hairstylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kassie Wisener and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kassie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My reason for starting my own business, was to be able to express myself in my own way with decorating. Choose my own hours that I see fit. Give my clients a better relaxing atmosphere where they can enjoy every appointment.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Hairstylist, I love it. I love making people feel better about themselves. Giving people the confidence they need or and ear to talk to. I pride myself on not just being any ordinary hairstylist. I want to build a relationship with every client in my chair. Where there is trust in me to help them achieve their hair goals but not only that I enjoy hearing all their stories. Helping them through hard times or good times because in turn they help me also. I am never against a challenge in the salon. Every challenge I have crossed is how I got here today. I worked in a corporate salon for 7 years. I learned a lot there from other stylist. How to run a salon and build a clientele.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
BBQ tour lets go! Take a tour in the DFW area of all the top BBQ places. Some that I haven’t even tried yet. Some that would be on the list would be Hurtado, Heim, Dayne’s Craft and Goldee’s. Dayne’s is also located at neat little place called Lola Trailer Park which has live much and a nice atmosphere. Head down to the stockyards and see the cattle drive that the have daily. Lots of neat store to stop and shop in. Then hit up some of the local breweries like Shannon, Panther Island, Cowtown Brewing, and Turning Point.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I had a Manager when I first started out in the salon industry that definitely pushed me to grow in a different direction. Her name was Laure. She helped push me which gave me options and paths that would help me gain the most success in my career. Sometimes I don’t know that she even realized how much she pushed me to get it where I am today.
