We had the good fortune of connecting with Kasey Goedeker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kasey, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I have to be extremely organized. I have a lot going on, between my blog, full-time job, and now getting my MBA. I keep a planner with me at all times, prioritize projects and homework around my work schedule, and make sure I can keep up with everything.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I wish I could share a secret sauce! Ultimately my success with my blog has been a combination of my marketing degree, work in the field, and years of learning, adjusting, and growing from everything that hasn’t worked. At the start of my growth, I was on Instagram for hours every day engaging in order to grow. Then I moved onto my website, I outsourced tasks to professionals who specialized in fields in which I didn’t have as much knowledge. The process isn’t as easy as it looks from the outside, but I stayed committed because I truly enjoy the work. If there is any secret to success in any field, its to enjoy what you’re doing!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love sharing my city with my friends and family! I would start the day with a walk on Katy Trail, then brunch at Yardbird Southern. Next, I would take them shopping in Bishop Arts. I love wandering around small businesses! Some of my favorite places to visit are the rooftop bars like HG Sply Co especially to watch the sunsets I have a full list of my favorite rooftop bars on runninginheelsblog.com! One of my favorite restaurants for dinner is Shinsei, where we celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries! I could eat my way through this city every day. It’s one of my favorite parts of living in Dallas!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My fiancé has been nothing but supportive through all of my big ideas, planning, and late nights. When we started dating, neither of us knew how much my blog would grow over the years, but he was ready to support me at every stage. When I came to him about taking my blog full-time I received nothing but positivity back. I have to thank him from the bottom of my heart for being here for me every step of the way!
