Meet Kamia Williams | Business Architect

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamia Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamia, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Honestly? Choosing to trust God with the vision — even when I didn’t fully understand it.
There were so many moments when I couldn’t see how things were going to work. I didn’t have the resources, the blueprint, or the certainty. But I had the calling. And I made the decision early on that if God gave me the vision, I would do my part to walk it out — even if it meant walking by faith, not by sight.
That decision changed everything for me. It gave me peace in the chaos, direction when I felt lost, and strength when I wanted to quit. Trusting God didn’t make the journey easy, but it gave it meaning. And it’s the reason I’m still here, still building, and still believing bigger.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I help people start and grow real businesses — even if they don’t have money, good credit, or know where to begin. I show them how to structure their business the right way, how to get funding, and how to build something that actually works. I make business simple and doable — not overwhelming. Whether someone’s just getting started or trying to grow, I give them the tools, the strategy, and the confidence to take the next step.
What makes my work different is that I don’t just teach it — I’m living it. I’m actively building my own multi-industry empire while I help others build theirs. Everything I share is from real experience, not just theory. And I’ve helped people access over $10 million in funding, fix their structure, and finally feel in control of their business — and their life.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the credit builder card I’m developing — a tool designed to help everyday consumers build strong credit and unlock more financial freedom. If all goes well, I’ll be the youngest Black woman in history to launch a credit builder card from scratch. That’s not just historic — it’s personal. Because this isn’t just about credit. It’s about access. It’s about giving people a shot at something better when the system has failed them.
But none of this came easy.
There were seasons I was broke, scared, and unsure of everything. I’ve battled doubt, anxiety, inconsistency, and fear. I’ve cried in silence while pushing through public expectations. I’ve felt behind while watching others win. I’ve had to lead while still figuring it out myself. But I kept showing up — not because I had all the answers, but because I refused to give up on the vision.
How did I overcome it? Faith. Relentless focus. And the decision to bet on myself no matter how risky it felt. I had to unlearn perfectionism, let go of needing external approval, and learn to move even when things weren’t clear.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success doesn’t come from having all the resources — it comes from being resourceful. From showing up with what you’ve got, making it work, and building from there. That’s what I’ve done — and that’s what I teach others to do too.
What do I want the world to know about me? I’m not just a business coach or funding girl. I’m a builder — of businesses, of people, and of legacy. I’m building something bigger than me — an empire that spans finance, hospitality, rideshare, tech, and more. I don’t want to just compete with big brands. I want to sit at the table with them — or build my own.
Because I believe business is how we change lives, build wealth, and leave legacy. And that’s exactly what I’m here to do.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to Dallas, we’d turn it into a whole experience—vibes, food, fun, and a little luxury. I’d want them to leave feeling like they saw a whole new side of the city.
Day 1: We’d start with brunch at The Henry or Sixty Vines—somewhere cute, good energy, and IG-worthy. Then head to Klyde Warren Park for a chill walk and maybe some food truck snacks. That night? Dinner at Nick & Sam’s or Monarch—we’re going big the first night.
Day 2: Art and culture day. I’d take them to the Dallas Museum of Art, then hit Bishop Arts District for vintage shopping, coffee at La Reunion, and good convo. That night we’d do Deep Ellum for drinks and live music—maybe stop at Ruins or Double Wide for that local feel.
Day 3: Spa day or rooftop pool day at The Joule or Thompson Dallas, followed by dinner at Town Hearth—because vibes. We might finish with dessert and drinks at XOXO Dining Room or Parterre.
Day 4: Adventure day. Walk around White Rock Lake, maybe do paddle boats if we’re feeling it. Then chill at The Dallas Arboretum or even hit a cute picnic setup. At night? Drive-in movie or bowling at Punch Bowl Social.
Day 5: Business boss day. I’d show them some of the behind-the-scenes of what I’m building—maybe even get some content done at a local studio. We’d wrap up with happy hour at RH Rooftop, and dinner at STIRR or KĀI.
Day 6: We’d explore Legacy West in Plano for upscale shopping and food, or hit The Star in Frisco. Both spots are fun if you want to get out of the usual Dallas loop. We’d grab dinner at Haywire or The Capital Grille.
Day 7: Chill Sunday energy. Church in the morning. Brunch at Yolk or The Island Spot, then close the trip with ice cream, photos, and deep convos at Katy Trail or Arboretum’s garden view.
Dallas has so much to offer—great people, strong culture, and hidden gems everywhere. So I’d want my best friend to leave feeling full—spiritually, creatively, emotionally, and… definitely from the food too.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I have to give all credit to God. None of this would be possible without Him. My faith has carried me through every season — the silent moments, the setbacks, the breakthroughs, and everything in between. God gave me the vision, and He continues to guide every step I take.
My parents are also a huge part of my foundation. My dad, being both a pastor and an entrepreneur, modeled what it means to lead with purpose and persistence. And my mom? She’s the definition of strength. Her belief in me has never wavered, even in the moments I didn’t believe in myself.
My significant other has been a quiet but powerful support in my journey — reminding me of my strength, helping me stay grounded, and encouraging me to keep pushing no matter what.
And I can’t forget the visionaries who’ve inspired me from afar — Richard Branson, Tyler Perry, and Oprah. Richard Branson showed me I don’t have to choose one lane — I can build across industries and still lead with creativity and legacy. Tyler Perry’s story reminds me that purpose doesn’t need permission — it needs consistency and obedience. And Oprah… she is the blueprint for what it means to lead, serve, and elevate others while still owning your voice and power. I carry each of their examples with me as I build my own path.
So many people — directly and indirectly — have helped shape the woman and the visionary I’m becoming. And I’m grateful for every single one of them.
