Hi Kadejah, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Prayer is the first thing I think of when considering a habit that I feel has helped me succeed while running my business. I can admit, at the peak of my entrepreneur journey I was overwhelmed because I had so many ideas, visions and goals for my business. But, I wasn’t sure how to master it all. I eventually had to remind myself that prayer was always the solution to all my problems so why not use it now ?! When navigating through my business I prioritize praying every step of the way and I believe this is what has gotten me through my successes thus far !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most proud of my growth and how hard I’ve worked on perfecting my craft. I’ve gotten this far by being consistent and trusting the process. In the beginning it was more scarier than easy because I knew where I wanted to be as an artist but didn’t know how I would get there. When I started choosing faith over fear the impossibilities became clearer for me to accomplish. The main thing I’ve learned along the way is patience. Often I envision so much elevation in my career and it’s exciting. As challenging as it is trusting the process, I continue working knowing whatever’s meant for me will all work out.

There was so much I endured during the last 5 years of building my brand. I just used everything as fuel to keep me going. As a result I’m growing through what I’ve gone through. And I’m ready for the flowers to blossom and bloom for everyone to see while we’re still here.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
During a vacation in Dallas I would start off with a great brunch spot like Breakfast Brothers, Johnnys, Dream Cafe for chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and a good mimosa. You could visit Uptown to knock out a good hang out, dinner and drinks all at once ! I would also suggest for those that love to get a good word in, Dallas has a few churches with amazing ministry that will bless you through both music and sermon. Red Oak Faith Fellowship, Friendship West, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and Concord Dallas are just a few to name. I would even suggest a family fun day at Klyde Warren Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As I do everyday, I would first like to thank God ! He’s given me strength, answers, direction, guidance and a million other things I’ve needed to get me here. I want to thank not only myself but, my support system .. especially my sons because together we’ve all created reasoning for me to keep going and strive to be nothing less than the best I can be for the bettering of our lives! Lastly, I can’t stress enough how much I love and appreciate every individual I’ve gained a bond with while conducting my business .. my clients, suite/salon mates, other beauty professionals. All your referrals, bookings, connections and everything else you’ve done to interact/engage with my business has helped play a major role in getting me to where I am today !
