We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process… This is a great question! I knew I was designed for something great, even as a young boy! I worked four jobs as a young adult just to live “The American Dream,” yet I was working for someone else’s cause and dream. This particular business was inspired by my wife & her desire to help small businesses reach maximum potential. It is my desire to level the playing field while simultaneously alleviating the financial burden it is on small business to receive clear and concise advisement during a critical stage of their journey of social media & branding. So, I did as much research as humanly possible to figure out a way to make my business profitable without needing quantity, but instead Quality. I can proudly say that I definitely provide quality to my clients! I hired a business mentor & got right to work and have served my clients with the very best value and quality since 2019, and am now living life on my own terms and my own American Dream.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Was it easy to get where I am today?
That is a definite no.
Challenges as an entrepreneur are every where you turn. It is rare that someone become a success story over night. It takes a lot of building sometimes years to make it a success story.
The biggest challenge was starting our business with little knowledge, no money & no time.
I say their was no time meaning working a 9-5 and having 3 kids. That’s where we had to sacrifice the most was my sleep to create time to build our dream.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far was given to me by Keenan Garcia in the 11 steps of his success
1. Schedule
2. Look good, feel good
3. Start your day with a win
4. Big momentum
5. Set realistic but challenging goals
6. Know your business
7. Listen twice as much as you talk
8. Keep it simple
9. Know your process
10. Go for it
11. Take notes
If you want me to go into these in further detail reach out. These simple steps are what has helped me overcome every challenge I’ve faced.
Our brand is designed to not just help small businesses succeed but entrepreneurs, influencers or anyone who wants to listen and continue to grow a brand with success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Itineraries I’m not too good with my wife does the schedules. I can make you one for a week of visiting Dallas, it’s a ll about exploring and having fun, so of course we have to start things off with a bang.
We would start our days at spoons in historic downtown McKinney. The atmosphere is always great with live music, amazing food & the staff has always been the best!
Depending on the friend or family member, I would have to take them to the gym. Which gym? None other than Destination Dallas in Allen, TX.
Mid day we would go to Frisco commons park. We would watch the kids play around the huge play town, and then cut across to the amphitheater to show off the turtles that wait for anything to be tossed into the water. Once the kiddos see their favorite reptiles including a ginormous alligator turtle, then we would walk through the woods and spot reptiles & pretty much all the critters we could find.
To close out the night we would head to 5th street for St.Louis style pizza! Live hockey & fun table games. This place is amazing and is located in Allen.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Biggest of shout-outs goes to my wife Tessa for not just building what we call our business. The mastermind behind ReVampbiz. But, for everything you do for myself, our family and our community. You are such an amazing woman, wife & mother. .
I do want to give a special shout out to a positivity mentor of mine, David Dickey. First and foremost thank you so much for the book Buddha is a badass. If you haven’t read it you need to. It’s become one of my favorite books to date.
“In most cases, anyone can imitate your business. But nobody can imitate your business if it’s built based on your story. When your values infuse your business, you’ve given special life to your creation.”
Read that quote and read it again entrepreneur’s. Dave Dickey is the definition of the positivity mindset.
I couldn’t not shout this man out. My amazing pastor, friend & mentor Lafe Angel. One of the many amazing pastors at Grace point family church. This man has honestly been so strong in connecting me back to my faith. Thank you for all that you do for my family, the church & the community.
