Meet Justin Kempf

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Kempf and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, how does your business help the community?
At Executive Functional Healing, we help high-performing professionals and individuals who feel ignored by the conventional medical system finally get to the root of their chronic health issues. Our mission is to transform lives through personalized, root-cause functional healing without prescriptions, guesswork, or symptom-chasing.
We specialize in helping people who’ve been told their lab results are “normal” but still struggle with fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, gut issues, hormone imbalances, and chronic inflammation. Our approach combines science-backed functional medicine, whole foods, targeted supplementation, and emotional healing to create long-term, sustainable health solutions.
By helping clients understand the why behind their symptoms, we restore not only their health, but also their confidence, clarity, and ability to show up fully in their lives. Healing one person doesn’t just change their world it impacts their family, relationships, work, and community. We’re not just helping people feel better we’re helping them become who they were meant to be.
Through our virtual practice, we’re creating a nationwide ripple effect of empowerment, education, and transformation. That’s the heart of our mission.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Executive Functional Healing was born out of personal struggle and a relentless search for real answers. After leaving the Marine Corps, I faced years of chronic health issues leaky gut, mold toxicity, anxiety, depression, and severe sleep deprivation. I was handed medications, dismissed by doctors, and told my labs were “normal,” even though I felt far from fine. I knew something deeper was going on, and I refused to accept the idea that I’d have to live like that forever.
That fight for my own healing became the foundation of my business. Today, Executive Functional Healing is a virtual functional health practice that helps high-performing professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders overcome chronic symptoms by identifying and addressing their root causes. We do this without medication, band-aid protocols, or one-size-fits-all approaches.
What sets us apart is our deeply personalized, concierge-style method. I work one-on-one with clients to uncover the real reasons behind fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, hormonal imbalances, gut dysfunction, and autoimmune issues. We use advanced functional lab testing, whole food-based nutrition, nervous system regulation, detox support, and emotional healing as part of a cohesive, high-impact plan.
But the truth is, it wasn’t easy getting here.
Starting this business required walking away from everything conventional. There were no guarantees. I had to invest in education, mentorship, and years of trial and error. I built this from the ground up, fueled by the belief that no one should be told they’re “fine” when they’re clearly suffering.
One of the hardest parts was finding the balance between sharing my story and building professional trust. But what I learned is this: your story is your brand. My clients don’t just want a practitioner with credentials they want someone who gets it. Someone who’s lived it. Someone who can walk beside them with both compassion and clarity.
What I’m most proud of is the transformation I get to witness in my clients. I’ve worked with people who were on the brink of giving up mentally, emotionally, and physically and watched them come back to life. Not just symptom-free, but empowered. That’s why I do this.
If the world knew one thing about Executive Functional Healing, I’d want it to be this:
You don’t have to live in survival mode. Your symptoms are not your identity. Healing is possible. And it starts by asking better questions and working with a knowledgeable professional like myself.
We’re not here to treat symptoms. We’re here to uncover why they exist and help people heal from the inside out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, I’d plan a week that balances restoration, connection, clean food, and some fun Texas charm because that’s how I live and how I like to host.
We’d start with a slow morning at a clean, local coffee shop something low-key but high quality, where we can catch up without distractions. Then we’d take a walk through a nature trail or a quiet park to reconnect with the outdoors and get grounded. And of course, I’d probably hit the gym for a workout where it fits in movement is part of my rhythm, even when life slows down.
One day would be all about wellness and recovery: a full pool and spa day to relax, reset, and recharge. We’d soak in the sun, hit the sauna or cold plunge, and allow the body to fully relax and restore.
Of course, a great Mexican food spot would be on the list. We’d head to a place with authentic flavor, clean ingredients, and an open-air patio perfect for slow conversation over fresh guac, steak fajitas, and something cold and refreshing to drink.
We also can’t forget about the legendary Texas BBQ. I’d make sure we hit up a quality spot with smoked brisket, ribs, and all the fixings—done right, Texas-style. Whether we eat inside or out on a wood-planked patio, it’s always a memorable experience.
We’d carve out a day to visit the Fort Worth Stockyards, because you can’t visit this area without experiencing some true Western history, live music, and all the Texas character you can soak in. It’s one of those places where time slows down, and memories are made.
To round out the week, we’d spend a day at the lake boating or jet skiing, soaking up the sun and enjoying that mix of movement and freedom. Nothing clears the mind like open water and adrenaline, followed by stillness and a sunset view from the dock.
I wouldn’t fill the trip with nonstop activities just a curated mix of meaningful moments, great food, deep conversation, and the kind of experiences that actually bring you back to yourself. That’s my idea of a trip worth remembering.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are several people and moments that shaped who I’ve become as a practitioner and as a man but if I had to choose one, I’d dedicate my shoutout to Dr. Stephen Cabral His mentorship and teachings gave me the structure, confidence, and deeper understanding I needed to turn my personal healing journey into a professional mission
His approach to root-cause healing helped me connect the dots between functional lab testing, nervous system regulation, detox pathways, gut health, and emotional trauma I had already lived through it but learning how to guide others through it was a different level of purpose His work gave me the framework to bring real, lasting results to the people I serve today
I also want to give a special shoutout to Robin Amber VADEHRA, founder of Precious Gems Photography who helped open the door to my first Voyage Dallas feature Her belief in my story and encouragement to share it publicly was a turning point that continues to inspire the work I do today I’m truly grateful
And finally, a shoutout to every client who has trusted me to walk beside them through their own healing I don’t take that lightly Each story fuels my mission and I’m honored to be part of something so meaningful
