We had the good fortune of connecting with Juan Mendoza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juan, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Being a Christian, I believe you need to do right by people . We make sure we don’t overcharge and give people a quality product . We stand behind everything we make.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Having retired from the corporate world my wife and I found a creative outlet in leather work. Through the mentorship of Jim Linnell , a lifelong leather craftsman, we have learned new skills we never thought possible. While we do general items like knife sheaths as well, our passion lies in the art side of the business. Work like most people have never seen. It was a challenge learning totally different skills especially since we wanted to stand above most

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would take them to the Stockyards for some shopping and entertainment at Billy Bobs. One day down to Dinosaur park and Fossil Rim.
Depending on time of year we would take them to a Rodeo or to see the Rangers .
Our favorite restaurants would be Pappadeaux and Texas Roadhouse

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to Jim Linnell at Elktracks Studio for being our mentor and Michael Francis of Oklahoma to get us started
