Meet Joshua Wisel | Media Weather Analyst and Forecaster

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Wisel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My business is weather, and when I was growing up I was terribly afraid of the weather. The reason I started my business is because I managed to turn my fear into passion, and studied and pursued weather instead of fearing it, and I wanted to help others in the community understand weather, and help them with their fears as well

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been in the weather media community, since 2015. I started this business when I was younger and wanted to stand out among the “weather enthusiast” community by learning about weather and developing a knowledge of the weather to share that information with others. I do not post overhyped forecasts to stir fear for viewers or drive-up view counts. I’ve been blessed to have developed a large following during the time we‘ve been around the media community, with good viewership, and to be fortunate enough to gain our viewer’s trust, and have them rely on me for weather information and forecasts. Because I grew up with weather fears, I would like to think I know how to explain the weather to those with similar fears in a way that’s straightforward, but not scary. Give you the information without any confusing lingo. I also love teaching others the terminology, scientific factors, and information that goes into forecasting, because it’s fascinating, and the more you know about the weather, and what goes into forecasting, the less scary it becomes.

I would like to dedicate this article to my parents, family, and friends who have continually encouraged, and supported me as I grow my business, and reach new heights and goals every year with Weather 225. And would like to thank them for their continued support over the last several years as my business continues to grow. Their support has meant the world to me and has helped me develop, and refine Weather 225 every year to be the best it can be!
