Hi Jorge, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Rum Cakes Factory was born from a dream, from a very young age I always found it fascinating to see my mother, my aunts and my grandmother make cakes, I was always looking for the opportunity to make cakes with them. When I arrived in the United States, my dream became stronger, despite having studied mechanical engineering, I never gave up my dream of creating a unique concept, with homemade and authentic products.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Rum Cakes Factory biggest goals is offering a unique experience at each celebration, an exclusive product and nothing repetitive. One of the things that we are most proud of is the impact produced by sharing a cake, each guest lives a unique experience, creating a need to repeat it over and over again.

To get at te poist was not easy, is the accumulation of years of experience, practices and test trials, all in search of the perfect product, always focused on satisfying even the most demanding palates. baking is one of the most difficul things in a big kitchen. In addition to perfecting ourselves in decorating beautiful cakes, our biggest challenge was always a cake with the perfect consistency, an incomparable flavor and what people love the most, the moistness of the cake.

rum cakes factory deserves to be shared with the rest of the world, at your wedding, birthday, anniversary, when you want to thank someone the best way to do it is with a piece of cake, and even better with a piece of rum cakes factory.

As an immigrant, coming from a country consumed and destroyed by communism, coming to the United States gave me the opportunity to sow this dream, this passion with the intention of sharing happiness and union with your loved ones.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
well the best way to have the most exciting moment and memory is to eat, I love to take my family when they come to visit me to:

-Terry Black’s Barbecue, the best place to have atexas experience with BBQ.
-Whistle Britches, with the best chiken sandwiches..
-Velvet Taco, one of the best tex-mex tacos.
-hopdoddy, my favorite burguer bar.

also love to visit;

-legacy west and visit the restaurant in the area, have some ice cream at Amorino.
-visit the NorthPark Center Mall.
