We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe the most important factor that has lead to our rapid success is the fact that we truly love what we do. We are grateful to get to play music as often as we do. The fact that people are connecting with the music and the energy that we bring to our performances is the cherry on top.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Bad Lives is all about positive energy and having a great time together. The music is crafted to be as high energy as is possible when performed live. The music is heavily inspired by both modern alternative rock and indie bands such as GROUPLOVE and The Vaccines as well as some more classic 1980’s acts such as The Cure. Our music was once aptly described by a fan as is The Cure wrote COIN songs for punk fans.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have had the opportunity to play a lot of great north Texas venues and definitely have a few favorites for one reason or another. We are always grateful to play Amplified Live; they have a beautiful stage, excellent food and a professional feel that we appreciate. We enjoy playing the Foundation room at House of Blues and The Post at River East as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to first give credit to my family, who has always been supportive and has held me to the highest possible standard because they knew I was capable of achieving anything I truly dedicated myself to. I would also like to thank Alex, who has been with me every step of the way, since day 1. And I would like to thank Steiner and Denbow, without whom I would not have even started playing instruments.
