We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Capo Graves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
It truly has been the people I have worked with and the experiences I’ve seen working in a jewelry store.

I have been in this industry since I was 18. I have had so many wonderful mentors that have helped grow and teach me along the way. I have also had a lot of wonderful customers, who have taught me what clients want and love.

The combination of wonderful teachers and wonderful clients helped me build a brand that makes jewelry accessible to everyone.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Have you ever felt intimidated buying jewelry? I have. I remember walking into this gorgeous, upscale jewelry store and feeling so incredibly small. Whether it was from the employees who wouldn’t give you the time of day, or prices that seemed outrageously out of reach, it was the worst feeling in the world. Well that didn’t sit well with me, and I wanted to change that.

I started in jewelry at 18 as a way to pay my way through college. (Spoiler alert: That didn’t happen.) But it became so much more than that! It became a passion. I worked hard behind a jewelry counter for years, listening, learning, and gaining as much expertise as I possibly could. And 11 years later, it’s still my dream job.

I LOVE jewelry! But more than that, I love the people I get to meet because of this industry. So when I founded Capo & Co., I vowed that my clients would never feel the way I had so many years ago!

I want my clients to feel like they are talking to an old friend, not a stuffy jewelry consultant. I want to bring joy and fun back to buying jewelry! That being said.. Capo & Co. Fine Diamonds and Jewelry is a jewelry brand like no other.

My process is a one of a kind experience, with prices that are attainable by any budget! By working directly with me, my clients get to create jewelry specially tailored to their wants and wishes. From engagement rings, to tennis bracelets, to gemstone jewelry, and everything else in between, I can do it all! But my bread and butter is custom engagement.

Starting my own business was not easy. I traded 40 hours a week for 24/7, received animosity from colleagues who had once been friends, and plenty of other obstacles. But I wouldn’t trade this for the world. I get to connect with people on a super special level, provide heirlooms that will be cherished for generations, and be apart of love stories across the country. If you want a jewelry experience that is personal, special, and down right fun, please come and see me! I would love to be apart of your love stories.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First thing’s first… Mexican food! Mena’s in Carrollton or Angelina’s in The Colony are bar none the best Mexican food places in the metroplex!

After your belly is full of good food, make sure you stop off for drinks at The Drunken Donkey before you head out for dancing at Cowboys Red River!

Night life not your cup of tea? Head over to east Dallas and take a stroll through The Arboretum to see some amazing foliage and so many colors! Going in the spring time is the absolute best.

I moved around a ton as a kid, but I’ve been in Dallas for 10 years now, It is vast, ever changing, and has so many amazing things to offer. I’m so happy to call this place home!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
None of this would be possible without my amazing husband, Montana. He has been behind me from day one, and is always there to shower me with love and support.

I also can’t forget to thank the strong women who guided me here. Regina, Rita, Ashley, Marina, Shannon, and Jane.

These women stood beside me for countless hours behind a jewelry counter teaching me the tools of the trade. I will forever be grateful to count these amazing ladies as not only coworkers, but as friends.
