Hi Jonathan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have discovered my passion at a young age. Throughout my entire life, I have been driven by a desire to serve others in various capacities. This inclination led me to establish a non-profit organization when I was just 19 years old, dedicated to providing Christmas presents to homeless and underprivileged children. Over time, the reach of this initiative expanded to encompass locations in Mexico and several other cities.

The combination of business and service has always coursed through my veins. Having worked for others for many years, I grew increasingly frustrated with the prevalent lack of empathy for the clients and the predominant focus on monetary gains. I wanted to create something that placed emphasis on the community, prioritized the client’s needs, and adapted to the ever-evolving trends within the industry.

The notion of being able to make impulsive decisions based on what I believed to be in the best interest of the client, rather than having to navigate a corporate hierarchy, became a driving force for me. If a course of action made sense for the client, I firmly believed it was the path we should pursue. No longer did I want to be hindered by red tape, but rather, I sought to establish a venture that embraced agility, responsiveness, and a genuine dedication to customer satisfaction.

With these aspirations in mind, I embarked on the journey of starting Select Service Catering. It was an opportunity for me to combine my love for food, my passion for service, and my unwavering commitment to providing a remarkable experience for each client. By taking the helm, I could foster a culture that valued the client’s perspective, embraced community engagement, and adapted swiftly to the ever-changing landscape of the industry.

I am dedicated to ensuring that our catering company not only delivers delicious cuisine but also creates memorable moments that resonate with our clients. By operating independently, I have the freedom to innovate and cater to the unique needs and desires of each individual or organization we serve. The satisfaction derived from witnessing the delight on our clients’ faces and knowing that we have positively impacted their experience is immeasurable.

Every decision we make as a catering company revolves around what is best for our clients. We actively seek out opportunities to give back to the community that has supported us, and we continually strive to stay ahead of emerging trends and exceed expectations. Lower Greenville is undeniably a gem when it comes to creating a laid-back atmosphere that facilitates reconnecting with old friends. The area has an easy-going vibe that invites relaxation. It truly has something for everyone. If the weather permits ide have to put Truck Yard at the top!

I am truly grateful to a select few individuals who played instrumental roles in honing my talents and instilling the confidence needed for me to embark on my independent journey. Despite their lack of awareness, their impact on my growth and development cannot be overstated.
