We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnny Taylor JR and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Johnny, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My Journey in life has really me pushed me to start my own business and mentor to the next generation of kids. Locked N Elite Training LLC is more than just training physically. We focus on teaching the youth what it really means and looks like to be Locked N. Locked N means being locked in on ones overall goal and take the proper steps to get there. I’m a firm believer that if you keep theses three keys Locked N (God, Education and Discipline) that you will be successful.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a therapist that works with children and adults that are diagnose with autism. It has not been an easy journey to be where I’m at today. Some of the lessons I’ve learned along this wonderful journey is you have to keep an open mind, find something that separates you from other therapist, be creative and always think outside the box. Not only that but this is a woman dominant field so to see men in this field is something special, At the end of the day I just want people to be able to see Locked N logo and know the true meaning behind it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of the places I would take my bestfriend would be to the African American Museum, The Star, Art Museum, I would definitely tell them come down during the State Fair time, Deep Ellum, The AT&T center and local restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Family, friends and coaches have been very encouraging and supportive along this journey.
