We had the good fortune of connecting with Jim Kupczyk and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jim, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Mindful Market serves heart-centered small businesses that make the world a better place. Our mission is to increase brand awareness and the customer base of conscious businesses and watch them thrive. We provide a robust platform to showcase their offerings (products AND services), a community that supports one another and tools for business growth & personal transformation. We are elevating humanity through conscious business (our vision).

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
If I were asked how did I get to where I am today, I would suggest: trusting the universe, perseverance and love. I am fortunate to recognize moments of truth that reassure me that I am on the right life path that enable me to become the best version of myself. This project’s purpose is to evolve my soul. The development of Mindful Market was not easy. We started from scratch four times, with three different development teams, prior to launch. I want to say that from initial development to “live” was about seven years. There were many trials and challenges that we learned from. Love, and an inner-calling that this platform is needed, triumphed over any fear of quitting. In fact, looking back, the thought of throwing in the towel never entered my mind. The team always looked through the lens of our vision (elevate humanity through conscious business) and forged ahead, knowing that we would “go-live” at the perfect time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love and am ambassador of Buffalo New York. It has been crowned “City with the biggest heart” and named “City of good neighbors” and “An all American City”. Because of a snowstorm 40 years ago, the city gets a not-so-positive rep, however, pre-covid, we were getting a lot of positive international press. Buffalo is getting noticed. Buffalo is a small city and very walkable; it has some amazing architecture (Buffalo City Hall, Darwin Martin House) natural resources (15 minutes from Niagara Falls, Olmsted Parks Conservancy) and a plethora of wonderful restaurants (too many to name).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am grateful that Mindful Market chose me to develop and “birth” it. I play but a small roll. The current success is the result of a collective energy including: The amazing investors who shared in our vision – Jesse Kozak, Dawn Sobierajski, Paige & Ernie Friend, Sarah Bohn and Mike Pace, our back-end development team- SJA Infosolutions, our front-end design team- Art & Soul Design Studio and the wonderful advisers who continue to guide Mindful Market: Linda Schineller, David Rivers, Terri Maxwell, Jennifer O’Neill, Tanveer Ali & Lee Ann Fortunato.
