Meet Jesse & Christopher Smith | Landscape and Christmas lighting specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse & Christopher Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jesse & Christopher, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
There were many thoughts when it came to starting our business but first and foremost we wanted to be able to provide a comfortable life for our families. Hard work, reliability and quality of work has never been an issue for us and our desire to learn and increase in our skills and services things just made sense. Then we learned about Christmas light certifications we love the lord we love Christmas and it was a way to provide a service that would stand as a reminder to those receiving it of why we celebrate the light and life of the world.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a professional Christmas lighting company, landscaping company, and home remodeling company. We typically exceed expectations on projects are known for our integrity, and are certified in every project we take on having taken courses to better ourselves in our fields of expertise. We got to where we are through a ton of really just pushing through and perseverance. Overcoming labor challenges rising inflation, equipment, and Covid has been extremely difficult. We’ve learned that regardless of what happens doing the projects and being reliable for our customers is a must. No help is sometimes better than bad help but the right help makes a world of difference. And you have to always be learning! We want the world to know that we care that we strive to make differences and ripples even if only in the smallest ways.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s hot out if you’ve only got a week here then you’ve got to have banana bucks downtown in Montgomery Plaza. Followed up with an escape room at a red door across the street. After the escape, Cowtown bbq places are the reason for our winning history for bbq. Burgers Lake is a must coupled with six flags over Texas. The ability to cook play volleyball and then make some splashes can’t be beaten. The Dallas science museum and Zoo are some of the most creative and engaging places for little ones and adults alike. A show at the bass hall to get some drama in and a little laser tag at the main event end a good week. And the weekend at Airbnb on lake whitney especially ones with amenities is a great get away with family and friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. Our wives who stood by and supported us and people like Jeremy who helped us understand the need for growth, Justin who taught us welding, Mike who taught us Home Remodeling. And our mother who introduced us into the industry by getting us our first mower and truck.
