We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Boedeker Elmore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Word of mouth referrals are the most important factor in the continued success of jenXphotography. When clients are happy with the quality of merchandise, and the expert service provided, they talk. Repeat customers and word of mouth referrals are the highest from of flattery, and the secret of consistent growth and success.Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an artist first. My camera is the medium I choose to work with most commonly. 25+ years of experience in professional photography and film making sets me apart from others in my field. Mastery in fundamentals gives me the freedom to focus on learning new skills. For instance, since 2014, I have been a drone pilot. The addition of aerial photography and videography has added a new layer of excitement to my craft.Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When a friend visits, I am more likely to hang out and catch up at home rather than around town. When I think of Dallas, I think of family and home base. For an urban photo shoot, I would hit Deep Ellum or The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. For scenery I would visit White Rock Lake or The Dallas Arboretum. I would visit Javier’s for my favorite restaurant, or perhaps Goff’s for the best burger. But, when I think “best time ever,” I think DFW International airport!Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Husband David, and my sons Christian and Henry are the biggest contributors to my motivation to succeed. Their love and support encourages me to never give up on reaching for bigger goals and dreams. My husband never ceases to speak highly of me, and holds down the fort when I am traveling or busy trying to meet a deadline. My boys inspire me to strive to find the work/home balance, and to continue to try to learn and grow as a person and an artist.
