We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazzmen Victoria and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jazzmen, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Staying true to myself.. Knowing exactly what it is I want to project out into the world. In order for me to do that I have to know myself.. understand myself, take time out for myself. its taken sometime to do that but im here.. becoming more aware of myself and and the world around me i am trying to recreate. Staying true to myself has been and will continue to be an important factor in my success.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart? I am a lot, i do a lot. I a 26 ranked slam poet to an author of 3 self published books, i am an artist, and a model… as well as a youtuber with my cousin where we post inspirational and funny videos for our peers of today. I create soaps to help promote self care and slef love called Wild Soaps. Im proud of this fierce woman ive become, i think a lot of my work portrays fierce black women, mirrors women ive seen growingup in. my life and being able to see that woman in myself. being able to use real life excperiences and place it in my art. A lot of push and shove got me where i am today, courage, and faith it has not been easy but it hs been so worth it. Going back to my important factor… trusting myslef and what i want to put out in the world. My brand, my art its all apart of me.. its all a part of my story. I am my story.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
