We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazman Kennard Daley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazman, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always knew I wanted to own my own business but what can I do that is outside of the box? I searched Pinterest, googled ideas and bam!! Bounce Houses!!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
KDS Inflatables and more, We are a local professional jump man, moonwalker, bounce house company! We have been in business for three yrs proudly completing parties with Bounce Houses, When AJ (my husband) and I decided to start an inflatable company we started completely broke, The plan was to purchase one bounce house and lets see how this goes. The outcome was Great with just one!! We then became a certified company, Owning multiple Bounce Houses and getting recognition in the DFW area. Though this business may seem cool, its pretty tough. The weight of a bounce house is 200-400 pounds (Dry). Being a family business AJ (my Husband) is the muscle lifting, moving setting up and letting down the bounce house, it gets very heavy and tiresome in the scorching Texas heat. If you want to get into the bounce house company, first get a team, Next be prepared to care for your equipment as if it is your baby. Become a legit company avoid lawsuits children roughhouse in inflatables and even if you are not present with no legal documents and insurance you are fully responsible. Last and most important again, this company IS NOT for the weak, the Texas Heat!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am really wrapped into my businesses unfortunately i dont go out often sorry.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to the customers being a local small business, and having regular customers that were complete strangers is a huge blessing!! Also big shout out to our kids summers and weekends our time and attention is fully focused on the business it can get a bit overwhelming.
