We had the good fortune of connecting with Javier Rojas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Javier, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks are a fundamental part of the life of every human being, they drive us to make decisions, putting into perspective the advantages and disadvantages of any situation. The biggest risk one can take is not taking them. We assume risks as a path to the unknown, to the uncertain, when we understand that decision-making in the past was a risky situation, today it can simply be a step to fulfill to achieve a goal, the unknown is sometimes scary and that is why we think it may be a risk.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I think the business was born at the same moment that I discover that it is exciting to be able to help others. It’s simple, my business is about fixing things, improving them, renovating them and making each space an area where each person can relax and feel in their favorite place, and what better than the comfort of your home? We understood that in every home we enter there is a family that has strived to have what they have, who strive every day to give the best to their children and an exceptional quality of life. We focus on people, not things, we concentrate on offering them all the possibilities to help them achieve their expectations in the final result and also during the process. I could say that the best result is not the renovation of a space with the best quality materials, or the styles that are trend, or a countertop of the best quartz on the market with contemporary light tones, the best result, or rather, the greatest The objective is the bright eyes and the big smiles on the faces of our clients, that is my greatest satisfaction, it is our pride and best reference.
I am one of those who thinks that the good is the enemy of the best and we strive every day to offer the best, it is our goal.
It has been an ant job, as a team and from day to day, our motto is not to leave for tomorrow what you can do today. Perseverance, responsibility, good results have made our business grow from person to person, social networks have also helped.
There are still many lessons to learn, but the most important for us has been perseverance, I think it is the key to achieve anything, I learned that routine is necessary and also good habits.
Personally, I must say that I am a Latin American immigrant. My country of origin is Venezuela, and one of the most difficult obstacles is the language barrier. However, when you make a decision you fight for it and the first thing I did was study English, I still continue to study, maybe you may find many grammatical errors in this story … there is nothing else more important to achieve insertion in a society and to achieve step by step the objectives of studying its language and learning its culture, I deeply thank all the citizens of this great country for opening their doors to me and trusting us.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely City’s down town of Dallas metroplex, they are a small part of a past that is still present and of the history of each city, the people, its tastes, smells and flavors. I like small towns where chaos does not exist and time befriends the eternal …
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The family is a fundamental part in the development of any business or undertaking, the impulse and motivation that my daughters give me every day and the unconditional support of my wife Leslie, my friend, my partner and unconditional life partner, they are the ones who have me Guided on this path of successes and mistakes, many times that word of encouragement every morning is necessary to think clearly about any circumstance to be resolved. Definitely family!
