Meet Jason Elmore | Woodworker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Elmore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, what principle do you value most?
Quality items are important to me. I take pride into making sure my customers items are correct. I work with them every step of the way. I dont make stock items with a machine with no care. Everything I make has my time and sweat.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is done with normal hand tools available to me. At this time I do not have any large machines to do any carving for me, so I use the trusty dremel tool. I will reach out to others when I need to for more intricut work or use other ideas from friends and incorporate them into our art, with their assistance or permission. I also provide EVERY customer with updates as I build the project, I do not think as many people do this. Since our projects are made to order, I can focus on that exact customer at that time instead of churning out bulk items.
I want people to know that we take pride in every piece we make, 10% goes back to various charities, and we also donate pieces to auctions or businesses. We are veteran owned and operated, everything made in the good ol’ USA.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely check out some hiking areas around DFW. Try to find things they do not have near them and have them experience TX. A few BBQ joints and local breweries/texas distilleries.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my wife, who supports me with this venture, helps me when possible. My two boys that also help out when they can. Especially all my friends and family that continue to share my work and businesses that supported me with their purchases.
