We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, what role has risk played in your life or career?
It’s simple if I didn’t take any risk I wouldn’t be doing what I am doing at this moment and where I see myself in the future. Taking risk and being extremely tactful in your “risk taking” is important to me my life and future. It helps me get out of my comfort zone , get uncomfortable but knowing that I am going to gain what I am working are for. Most importantly just having faith that by following my heart and taking risk God will guide my path.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am truly passionate about my craft. I am my biggest critic and hype man. I thrive to give the best of me with each person I service and I don’t believe in cutting corners. I have made amazing connections and relationships with my clients and knowing that they are trusting me to either work on their skin to achieve radiant smooth clear skin or give them the brows and lips they have been hoping for is an amazing feeling. My journey in this Industry was nothing easy, I faced a lot of challenges in the beginning more due to personal and not having a clear head space. I doubted my abilities a lot and now that I think back I get emotional at how far I have came and so much I have accomplished by putting my burdens into God and trusting him to keep my in his grace while I take trainings to learn more and perfect my craft and being able to deliver is such joy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am new to the area so I haven’t familiarized myself too much. So far we would enjoy a nice coffee/ tea shop , shopping for plants , some outdoors activities and definitely hitting the gym. Cute mom and pop shops are my thing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The most important shoutout is to my God. He has literally guided me in this process given me the courage, confidence, passion, patience and peace of mind to perfect my craft and learn new skills. My 2 daughters that I work so hard for day in and out to provide a life they deserve by seeing how strong, smart and a warrior their mommy is. Last but certainly not least my immediate family & big sis she has been my biggest supporter and always pushing me to take that risk and succeed.
