Meet Jasmine Hunt

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Hunt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business stemmed from a recognition of a significant gap in the wellness space, particularly when it comes to truly serving diverse and intersectional communities. As both an individual with multiple identities and a diversity practitioner, I felt that the wellness industry, as it stood, often overlooked the unique challenges and needs faced by people from marginalized and underrepresented groups. I knew it was crucial to bring a more authentic, multifaceted voice to wellness — one that wasn’t just about physical health, but also about emotional, mental, and cultural wellbeing. Wellness is deeply intertwined with inclusion, and I believe we become better humans when we focus on maximizing our own performance potential through true healing practices. This understanding informs the way I work with my students and clients. By centering this philosophy, I hope to transform communities, organizations and companies where everyone, no matter their background or identity, feels they belong and have the tools to achieve holistic wellbeing.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My journey to where I am today has been a deeply personal and transformative one. It wasn’t easy, and at many points, I doubted whether I could be successful or accepted. My path has been shaped by experiences of generational trauma, bullying, lack of representation, and various forms of exclusion. These struggles followed me from childhood all the way into adulthood which caused me to question my place in the world, particularly within the spaces I occupied professionally.
Through many painful challenges, I realized that my exerpierences were my greatest source of strength. I began doing the “work,” even when I was terrified, even when I didn’t know how things would turn out. There were countless moments when I was unsure of myself and my worth, but I kept pushing through. Little by little, I learned how to alchemize the weight of those experiences, not by ignoring them and internalizing.
Yoga, mindfulness, and peak performance practices became my anchor. These tools helped me process life’s challenges in a way that lightened the heavy burden I carried. My commitment to working in the Diversity space was inspired by my desire to create spaces where others don’t have to feel that same isolation and confusion.
As I reflect on my business today, I’m most proud of how far I’ve come in helping others find their way through yoga, safe spaces, and education. What sets me apart is this lived experience and the intersection of my work in wellness and DEI. I’m not just teaching wellness; I’m showing people how it can be a tool for personal and professional empowerment.
What I want the world to know is that my brand is more than a business. It’s an embodiment of resilience, healing, and empowerment. It’s about helping people find peace within themselves, so they can show up as their full selves — unapologetically. My journey isn’t just my own; it’s a shared experience that many can relate to. And through my business, I aim to create a ripple effect of change that touches lives in meaningful ways.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d craft a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and wellness! We’d start the day with a refreshing green juice and hot yoga class, followed by a chill breakfast and exploring local spots like art galleries or markets. After some fun sightseeing, we’d unwind with red light therapy and reflexology. Then we end the night with dinner on a rooftop bar and salsa dancing. I love self-care moments so I would ensure that we both leave feeling rejuvenated, connected, and inspired.
